About the Founder
Trudy Adams launched Still Waters Ecotherapy in December 2025. She has worked across the social work and community services sectors for nearly two decades, holding roles in youth work, out-of-home care, family violence, and community leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (English), Graduate Diploma in Youth Studies, Master of Ministry, and a Certificate in Ecotherapy, grounding her work in a blend of evidence-based practice, reflective learning, and whole-person care. Her approach is shaped by years of direct practice, supervision, and leadership within high-demand environments where dignity, safety, and relational connection are essential.
Beyond her professional practice, she has served as a volunteer firefighter since 2015, bringing a strong commitment to community service. She is also the author of seven published young adult fiction novels, blending her love of storytelling with her passion for themes of resilience, identity, and belonging. Her author website can be found here.
Drawing together her background in youth work, trauma-informed care, spiritual formation, and ecotherapy, Trudy established Still Waters Ecotherapy to create spaces where individuals, teams, and communities can reconnect with themselves, with one another, and with the restorative presence of nature.
